you have to apply for permission to climb mount everest.

And because it is so difficult it requires teams of people to carry supplies and equipment.



nepal keeps track of all people who have attempted the climb, and usually of the team only 1 or 2 will actually reach the summit.



if you know a climber ask him which company he climbed with, this would be the team of sherpas which helped him. Most of them have websites that list the climbers for each expidition.

And it is sorted by year and by attempt.



I cannot find anything on the web that lists all climbers, only by team and year.
