Yes, and sorcery is science. Each has it's understandings of reality and natural laws. They are two sides of the same coin. Most of you won't get it, and that's ok!

The difference between science and sorcery depends upon one factor the perspective of the obsever. That perspective can be influenced by culture and education.

Example: Lets say you have a cell phone that will work anywhere in the world. To most people who are use to such a device it is simply a gadget that works upon scientific principles. But now take this same cell phone to a remote area of the world among a group of primatives who have never seen such a device and place a call to anyone you wish. Or get a second person with the same type of phone and go to different places within the same area and have the natives there talk to each other over the phone. Presto it's magic!

Abracadabra! If science is sorcery then shall we say scientists are sorcerers? Einstein, Marie Curie, Pasteur, etc. were then sorcerers? Oh, no! Sorcery are the influencing of events, objects, people and physical phenomena by mystical or paranormal means. It is using MAGIC. Science is based on a concrete knowledge, no magical resolutions. Though there are many scientific works which seem like magic for those who cannot arrive to its full comprehension. But sometimes, it is also one of my wonderings. Scientific theories sometimes do not answer my big questions which make me feel to believe that there is still something behind all those theories and laws. Can it be an unrevealed or undiscoverd fprm of sorcery? Who knows and who can tell us? Abracadabra!♥

Science is only sorcery to the primative mind or those brainwashed into being ignorant of technology. Things that cannot be readily explained with at least some hint of logic and reasoning are typically described as being magical or supernatural. Science is the accumulation of knowledge that allows us to use logic and reason to understand and the universe. Technology is the application of this knowledge to give us abilities beyond our natural biology by using tools, weapons, vehicles, and other devices.

No. Sorcery is science.

Magic draws on 3 things: physical skill, unknown science, and faith.

Some people are very quick and nimble, they can swipe your watch and pop balls under cups without you noticing.

Faith comes in because people want to believe. Our minds take the simplest route of explaination.

Science plays a roll because if you know a scientific fact that others do not you can use that to show something new to an audience and because they haven't worked out the details. Think of the fun you could have with magnets if your audience didn't know you were using them, or didn't know how they worked.
